Shubhra Jain, Finance Professional to Yoga Teacher

In 2023, Shubhra completed an intensive residential training of 1,750+ hrs from Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore founded by Sadhguru - world renowned yogi, mystic and visionary.

After experiencing some truly profound things, her perspective of life changed and she came back with a longing to teach all that she had learnt. Her mission is to educate others on the origins or Yoga and impart the science of Classical Hatha Yoga in its purest form. She is passionate about helping people overcome common work stresses, physical health issues and anxiety through the yoga practices.

Prior she worked both as a banker and investment professional in London for almost 4 years.

The sessions will take place in my private studios in Shorne, Kent surrounded by the lush green countryside.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, no previous yoga experience necessary. Please arrange a free 1:1 consultation so we can discuss your needs.

  • In workshops, we meticulously teach the practice. Once you’ve learned the practice, you do it daily and perfect it in guided classes in presence of a teacher.

  • The program includes 7 full days of guided sessions on week 1 and 3 guided sessions per week from weeks 2-4. It is highly advised that you attend an in-person session daily for the first 7 days following the workshop so you properly imbibe the practise. Otherwise, it is up to you how often you want to come in. Once you learn the practices, you will also be able to self practise at home and are encouraged to do so. (If you are unable to attend the sessions listed it may be possible to arrange alternate timings upon request).

  • Everyone has a different starting point. We give the necessary asana modifications so that people with lesser flexibility can also get the same benefit from the practices.

  • Yes, we teach meditation. It is taught both in the workshop and the daily guided sessions.

  • £265; yoga only package (w/o food) includes the workshop, daily in-person group sessions for 4 weeks and direct teacher access.

    £365; holistic package incl. the above + 3 live food demos and group lunches over one month

    £100; food only package incl. 3 live food demos and group lunches over one month

    £100 per month from month 2 onwards which gives you access to weekly in person group classes. Food workshops and lunches will be charged separately thereafter.

  • Sadhguru Gurukulam Hatha Yoga offers practices in its classical form. This means you will learn practices in its purest form. Originally all yoga was maintained through an ancient method of transmitting yoga in a very careful way to maintain its integrity without a minute distortion. Maintaining the purity of the practice essentially means accessing the original blueprints perceived by the yogis of the yore. These are the methods they used to master their own system to go beyond their limitations. By learning these practices and receiving them through the classical method, allows that same opportunities for those who receive and regularly practice.
